Staff and board members

Philanthropy Club is based in Dubai, UAE and employs 5 full-time employees. We have additional offices based in London, and Abu Dhabi, with a combined staff of 15 full-time employees. 

Our board of directors consists of five members who serve two-year terms. Recent elections were held in 2025. Current board members include:

Volunteers

In 2025, our members donated more than 19,200 hours worth of time to our projects. We currently have more than 250 members across the Middle East who dedicate their time and hard work to our organization.

Partners

Philanthropy Club works with 72 partners throughout the Middle East. From large corporations and businesses to nonprofits and educational institutions, our local partners play an instrumental role in helping us reach our designated goals.

Founder/President

Before founding Philanthropy Club, Sohail Khan spent 10 years building the largest e-learning company in Europe using just collaborative joint venture partnerships which was later acquired by a 9 figure IT Group. While building the business he became frustrated over the lack of basic educational resources for children and young adults in disadvantaged communities. Sohail set out to create a grant-funded social enterprise using his resources and knowledge of the e-learning industry and created FREE funded e-learning community centres to help provide up-to date skills to those disadvantaged children and young adults to succeed in the educational world and beyond.

In 2008 Sohail went from multi-millionaire to broke during the recession and set himself a challenge to make a million dollars in 12 months. In 2009 he completed one of his biggest joint venture deals which made over $4M in just 30 days! He went on to exit that business again in 2017 for 8 figures and after finally semi-retiring decided to focus more on 'Making a Difference' rather than just making money and so Philanthropy Club was born.
